Burnie Atterbury – Senior Consultant


Burnie Atterbury is the Emeritus Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations at the University of the Pacific.  He held the role of Vice President for nine years, before retiring.  During that time, fundraising revenue grew from $12M in his first year to an average of over $30M per year.  Burnie and his team were responsible for the design, implementation and successful completion of the $300M “Leading with Purpose” campaign, the largest campaign in the history of the University.  Prior to his role at the University of the Pacific, he served nine years at the University of San Francisco (USF).  While at USF, he held the following roles: Interim Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations, Associate Vice President of Development, Director of Development of the USF School of Law, Director of Major Gifts, and Major Gift Officer.  Prior to his time in development, Burnie had a variety of marketing and analytic roles at what is now AT &T (Executive Director of Optical Products, Director of Competitive Intelligence, Finance Manager, and Account Manager).
